The Rinnai warranty is seven years parts and labour when installed by a Rinnai Accredited Installer, or five years otherwise. Annual servicing is required to keep it valid, and skipping this during the warranty period may void it. Rinnai's warranty page separately notes that the cost of servicing itself isn't covered under warranty, a different point about who pays, not whether servicing is required.
