Every Care Plan visit follows the same five stages. Every year, the cycle continues from where it left off.
PLAN
Before your first visit, you choose the systems you want on your plan: heat pumps, ventilation, solar, or all three. You see the total annual care price before you commit.
UNCOVER
Every visit starts the same way. Your systems are photographed and documented before we touch anything. In year one, this establishes your baseline. In year two and beyond, we review your previous condition report before we start, so we know exactly where we left things last time. The Uncover stage then shows what has changed since.
RESTORE
Every booked system gets a full maintenance service against a documented checklist. If we find something outside our scope, we document it with photos and refer you to the right specialist. We don't attempt work we shouldn't be doing.
REVIEW
At the end of every visit, you receive a written condition report with before and after photos. Every report is stored in your customer portal alongside your previous ones. Your full service history is there whenever you need it
PROTECT
Your next annual visit is already in the calendar. As it approaches, we send you a reminder so you can adjust the date or time if needed. Your systems stay on schedule without you having to manage it.

Every visit ends with a written report documenting what was found, what was done, and what to monitor. Before and after photos of every system are included. Your report is ready within 24 hours of the visit.

Every report is stored in your customer portal. Before each annual visit, we review your previous report so we know exactly where we left things last time. Your service history is there whenever you need it.

Annual maintenance is the minimum for most home energy systems. Some homes benefit from twice-yearly care, particularly those with multiple systems, high usage, or residents with respiratory sensitivities. Heat pumps, ventilation systems, and solar panels all accumulate contamination at different rates depending on the home's environment. If a mechanical fault is found during your service, we document it clearly with photos and let you know exactly what was found. MiHT never installs home energy systems, which means there is nothing to sell and no reason to point you toward a replacement. If something needs repair, we will tell you what it is and provide you a quote to fix it.
After building your plan and booking your first visit at book.miht.co.nz, you're offered the option to schedule automatically every 52 weeks and save 10%. We send a reminder before each service is due. You don't need to rebook manually each year. Your systems stay on schedule and your card is charged after each completed visit.
Yes. Adjust the systems on your plan anytime as your home changes. Add a system, remove one, or update your service frequency. Contact us before your next scheduled visit and we'll update your plan accordingly.
A one-off Restore gives you a snapshot of your systems' condition on the day. A Care Plan tracks your systems over time. We compare each year's condition report to the previous one, catch developing issues early, and keep everything running at designed performance. If you want to see the service before committing to an annual plan, start with a single-system Restore.
