What's the difference between a filter replacement and a full service?

Someone who just changes the filter takes the old one out and puts a new one in. That's all. A full service looks after the whole system. With us, you get both in one visit. The filter is changed, the fan is cleaned, the ducts are checked, every vent is cleaned, the roof space intake is checked and the airflow is tested. You also get a written report. You only pay extra if something needs repairing on site, like a fan that shakes or a duct that has come loose. You'd get a separate price for that.

Do I need to be home?

Yes. Your ceiling space needs to be reached to check the unit and ducts, and the airflow is checked in every room. Someone needs to be home for the whole visit.

How much does HRV filter replacement cost in Auckland?

It depends on your system and its size. Systems from before 2022 cost $249 to $390 including GST. Newer Classic Pro and AirSense systems cost $339 to $620 including GST. They need a genuine filter and a Filter Key reset. Find your exact price in the table above. You get more than a new filter. The fan is cleaned and the ducts are checked. Every vent is cleaned and the airflow is tested. You get a written report with before and after photos.

Do you use genuine HRV filters?

The right filter for your system goes in every time. Classic Pro and AirSense systems have no other filter that fits. So they get a genuine HRV filter and a Filter Key reset. Older systems, from before 2022, get a good quality filter that fits your fan box. Either way, you get the grade your system needs. Not the cheapest one. It's listed in your written report.

How often should I replace my HRV filter?

Most homes are fine every 18 to 24 months. That is what HRV recommends. If you have pets, allergies or a dusty section, or you've just renovated, every 8 to 12 months is more realistic.
