How does Fujitsu ducted heat pump zone control work?
Fujitsu ducted systems with zone control use motorised dampers fitted inside the ductwork to direct airflow to specific rooms or groups of rooms. Zones are typically set up through the wall controller or, on newer systems, through Fujitsu's companion app, letting an owner choose which areas of the house receive conditioned air.Reducing the number of active zones sends more air to the remaining open zones rather than reducing total output, since the outdoor unit still runs to serve whichever zones are calling for heating or cooling.Like any mechanical damper, Fujitsu zone dampers can wear or drift out of calibration over time, which is why zone function is checked as part of a full ducted service.
